Our Leaders

In January of 2002, George Sweeney joined Bell Fuels, Inc. after Bells Fuels announced the merger of Sweeney Oils’ wholesale fuel business into Bell’s day-to-day commercial operations.

Sweeney Oil enjoyed a long and prominent history as a leading supplier of petroleum products in the Chicago land area. Familyo wned and operated since 1912, Sweeney Oil grew to operate Sweeney Convenience Stores and Gas Stations while maintaining a successful wholesale lubricant business.

George Sweeney received his B.A. from Dominican University and as President of Bell Fuels, Inc., brings years of operational experience and insight into the petroleum industry.

About Who We Are

As an independent distributor of petroleum, Bell Fuels maintains supply relationships with the major oil companies and the large independent refineries alike. Bell’s ongoing supply connection with Exxon-Mobil, Marathon, Valero, Citgo and BP ensures an uninterrupted supply of fuel.

Our customer base is as varied as our services. Every day, we supply fuel to a variety of fleets: private, municipal, utilities, railroad, marine and industrial businesses of all kinds, count on Bell Fuels for their requirements.
